August Favorites

Happy September! I can’t believe it is already September and that it’s almost fall. Although it doesn’t feel like fall here in Florida and probably won’t until at least mid-October. Today I am sharing some of my August favorites. I tried to pick products that I didn’t mention in my July Favorites post but it was hard.

August Favorites: Food

RXBars: I know I’ve mentioned these on the blog before but I love RxBars, especially the Chocolate Sea Salt flavor. I love them because they have very few ingredients (and all words I can pronounce) and they’re an easy snack to take on the go. I usually keep one in my purse when I’m out running errands on the weekend. They also make for a great mid-afternoon pick me up during the work day. Yes they can be on the pricier side but I’m willing to spend a little more for a good quality product.

Dark Chocolate Almond Butter: I was in Target last weekend down the nut butter aisle and saw this product. It’s a pretty recent addition to the Market Pantry nut butter line (at least at my Target). Anything dark chocolate is always a good idea in my opinion. I’ve been enjoying it on my French toast, my rice cakes, and in my overnight oats.

French Toast: I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this recipe before too but I LOVE French toast. I could eat it for breakfast every day if I had enough time to make it during the week. It’s definitely my go to breakfast in the morning, I’ve even gone out of my way to go to Publix to get more Ezekiel bread on a Saturday morning just so I could come home and make it. I make it with two slices of Ezekiel bread, a whole egg, and 3-4 egg whites. Just cook on medium heat for 2 minutes (or until done) and serve. I like to top mine with almond butter or cashew butter, fruit, mini dairy free chocolate chips and sometimes maple syrup.

Craft Beer: Where to start? I love all kinds of craft beer, as those who know me in real life know. My favorite craft beers in the month of August have been Tourist Trapp by MIA Beer Company and Hofbrau Oktoberfestbeir. Yes I’m drinking Oktoberfest beer already! Both of these beers are drastically different – Tourist Trapp is a Belgian style tripel at 10% abv and Hofbrau is a Marzen tyle beer at 6.3% abv.

August Favorites: Clothes & Jewelry

As I said last month (and will continue to say) I love my Stella & Dot jewelry.  I recently added the Lindsay Layering Necklace to my collection and I LOVE it. It is definitely a must. It’s three different strands that you can wear together, separately, or mix and match two strands together. I’m hosting an online trunk show for Stella & Dot mid-September so if you’re interested in being invited (no obligation to purchase anything, I do get hostess rewards for purchases made during the party) leave a comment below and I’ll make sure to invite you.

I also love my Converse sneakers; although I only have three pairs I wear them all the time. I wear them to the gym for leg day because they have a flat sole and are great for squatting. They’re also great paired with jeans or with my LuLaRoe Carly dresses or leggings or even my LuLaRoe Cassie skirts. I have converse in red, black, and grey. I’ve been on the lookout either for navy blue or teal or both J

Last but certainly not least is my love for LuLaRoe, it’s pretty much all I wear anymore. I’ve been loving my new Sarah duster sweater this month. It may not be cold yet here in Florida but I’m always cold inside so it’s nice to have. The one I have is on the thinner side which is also great for Florida weather. I did order a thicker one that I can’t wait to get and that will be great for winter in Florida. My other favorite style this month is the Randy shirt which is a baseball tee type top. I only have three of them but I swear I wear them almost every week. I love them because they’re so comfortable and because the sleeves come to just past my elbows it keeps me warm indoors (again I’m always cold).

Those are my favorite products from August. What were your August favorites? Anything I should check out in September.

Until next time.
