I’m starting a new series on the blog and I’m super excited to share it with you. Today I’m going to share how I fell in love with LuLaRoe and why I love it so much. I hope you enjoy this new series about a clothing company that I adore – LuLaRoe.
I’ve always hated clothes shopping. I can’t remember the last time I went shopping just because I wanted to. Maybe that’s a good problem to have – I wasn’t spending excess amounts of money on clothes. But maybe that’s a bad thing because I still wear clothes that I got years ago and not necessarily clothes I love, just things that still fit and look OK. That all changed when I found LuLaRoe.
How It All Started
I’d never heard of LuLaRoe until my mom and one of my aunts told me about their buttery soft leggings. My response was something like – “Buttery soft Leggings? Ok yeah sure.” My mom ended up getting me two pairs of their leggings shortly after that conversation. It took me a while to wear them because I still wasn’t convinced they were anything special. They lived up to the hype! They were (and still are) the softest, most comfortable pairs of leggings I’ve ever owned. I even figured out how I could roll them up so they look like capris so I can wear them in the Florida summer.
After that I joined a few Facebook groups (because that’s how LuLaRoe is sold – more on that later) but didn’t pay much attention. I still wasn’t convinced I could buy clothes online that would fit me. I have a hard enough time finding clothes in a store, let alone online. If a shirt fit me in the bust; it was usually too tight either in my arms or across my back. If a dress fit me on top, it was usually too tight on the hips, the same with skirts. You get the idea.
At the end of May I went to visit my family and my mom made me try on some of her LuLaRoe pieces. I had seen some of the skirts she was wearing & commented that I liked them. Even though they weren’t all my size, I could tell that I would love them. From there it went downhill (or uphill). I purchased a red pencil skirt (Cassie) and a matching black and white top (called a Classic). Yes, me the girl who could never wear pencil skirts from a regular store was going to wear one. They both fit and fit well. It took me a little while to warm up to the skirt, I remember telling my mom I wasn’t so sure about this Cassie skirt but now I love it.
That’s the shortened version of how I fell in love with LuLaRoe. Of course there’s more, the more different pieces I bought the more I fell in love. Yes, I’ve had to send a few items back because they didn’t fit right but that’s normal. I went from hating having to shop for clothes to loving it and feeling confident in said clothes. Now I have more dresses and skirts then I ever have. I wear them all the time and look forward to wearing them because they fit well and they make me feel good. That’s what I love most of all why about LuLaRoe – they have styles and patterns for every shaped women. Most of what I wear on a daily basis is LuLaRoe, especially when it comes to clothes for work.
How to Shop for LuLaRoe
Independent consultants sell LuLaRoe, you can’t buy it in a store. Consultants have Facebook groups. They sell via Facebook Live sales, album sales, and even do pop-up shops in people’s houses or other events. Some use other forms of selling like Periscope. Each consultant orders sizes for a given item but doesn’t know what the patterns are going to look like. They get what the warehouse gives them which makes it really cool. If you see something you like chances are slim you’ll see that same piece in your size again so buy it. One of the things I love about LuLaRoe – I won’t walk into a restaurant, bar or somewhere else and see someone wearing the same exact shirt or dress I’m wearing.
I’d also like to share that my Mom just recently became a consultant and has an awesome new inventory (if you didn’t know – new consultants always get the best inventory). She’s planning to have a Facebook Live very soon so you can shop via that and I know she’ll also have another album sale in her Facebook group soon. If you want to join you can find her Facebook group here. I encourage you to do so as I’ve heard she’ll be doing at least one giveaway too – who doesn’t love a chance to try LuLaRoe for free? I do have to warn you – it will quickly become an addiction.
Do you have any questions for me about LuLaRoe? Is there anything you’d like to see or learn about in regards to LuLaRoe? Have a piece you don’t know how to style or wear, let me know.
Until next time!
